Reading a chart
How a Kundli reading works: the Lagna, the planets, then timing
A Vedic birth chart is a map of where the planets stood at the moment you were born, which is why the exact time matters, and why a hospital record or an old horoscope is worth digging out. A reading starts with the Lagna, the rising sign, because it decides which house is which. Then come the nine grahas and how strong each one is, and then the dasha you are running now. The dasha is what gives you timing. Without it a chart shows what is possible. It cannot tell you when.
For Kundli matching, both charts go on the table together. A Guna score is one line of that reading. If a dosha turns up, it gets checked against its cancellation conditions before anyone treats it as serious. Nadi dosha, the heaviest single factor in the 36 points, gets its own page.

“Your marriage will happen in March.”
Be careful with a sentence like that. A chart can show which years look supportive and which look slow. It cannot name a day, and nobody can promise an outcome. Ask for the period and the reason behind it, and treat a firm date as a reason to ask more questions.
“The app says Manglik. Do we drop the match?”
Not on that alone. The texts give several conditions under which Mangal dosha is cancelled or reduced, for example when both partners carry it, and a one-line flag does not tell you whether any of them apply. Send both charts and Pandit Ji will tell you what is there.
“You are running a bad dasha.”
A difficult period is a stretch to plan around, so ask which years look slower and what that means for the decision in front of you. A reading that stops at the word bad has not told you much.
“You need this puja, this stone, this yantra.”
A remedy should come with its reason. Ask why someone suggests it, what happens if you skip it, and whether a cheaper way exists.
